Happily Ever After

Episode 5 October 23, 1990 This episodes starts off with a couple coming home from a party.  They get to city garage and start to park their car before heading home.  A black kid comes in.  He starts to smoke some crack then bam.  He hears a shot than lights out.  Then BAM BAM two more shots and he leaves on right out of there.  Throughout the episode Sargent Max and Detective Mike thinks it is this black kid who sells books and magazines on the street for a living.  It was one of those wrong place at the wrong time or is right place at the wrong time.  I never get those things right.  Anyhow,  when the wife survives, the cops get on it was her and her financial aid partner who happened to be having an affair.  DA Ben Stone pulls a set up on them making one of them to take a plead of Manslaughter 1 to turn on the other.  What a great trick.  I wonder what would have happen the plea was never taken.  The wife...

Kiss The Girls And Make Them Die

Episode 4 October 11, 1990 This episode starts up with two cops riding down some street in New York City and one of them is talking about how important it is for his 5 year girl to stop sucking her thumb.  Very amusing start of an episode if I must say. Then the camera zooms on this girl walking up the steps to her apartment as the cop car passes her.   She enters in and asks for her room-mate by name and slowly goes to her bedroom and finds her badly beaten.  Sargent Max and Detective Mike are sent to investigate and finds out she has met up with two guys that night before being beaten up.  One was an ex-boyfriend and one a recent one who just ended up their relationship.  The recent knocked her up just so to shut her up and went an engagement he was needed at, dinner plans.  The ex-boy friend wanted to have kinky stuff but she refused and he became all violent on her.  Before the case got handed over to the District Attorney, the vic...

The Reaper's Help

Episode Three: October 4, 1990 This episode starts up with Sargent Max and Detective Mike running up the steps from a call. They get to the apartment and find someone being shot. The place looks like it has been an attempt to rob the place.  However, why go through all that and leave a man's full wallet Sargent Max exclaims... Talking with victim folks and friends, Max and Mike find out that Bobby(victim) had aids and was GAY. They discovered from a magazine that Max had read a week prior to this killing that the same thing had happened. Then found out another location, SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELS. The find the guy from vary faxes from those precincts and arrest the guy. Finding out he Bobby wanted to die but was bagging his friends Jack Curry to help kill him in which he calls MERCY KILLING. Apparently Bobby was in such pain that after he begged his DAD to help him die, he turned to Jack to help him. Detective Stone eventually sees the bigger picture of th...

"Subterranean Homeboy Blues"

Episode Two This episode starts of with people coming home after a long day work in a crowded subway. The camera focuses on a young girl who use to be a ballet dancer but now works for RADIOLOGY. She leaves one subway and aboards another. Then the camera focuses on two black boys and then you hear shots. The whole subway in panic and after it stops all the people leave and all you see is two young black kids getting shot. This is the first episode that NBC refuses to re-air after first night of showing. Apparently the episode got such a negative response about Racism. So you decide yourself. A white young lady gets approached by two young black kids saying "How about a taste baby". What would your reaction be? I would not know myself, and I would not know how to defend either side. So after she gets arrested for Murder 2 since one of them died, and other one is in a wheel chair for life, her attorney, in my eyes is brilliant, re-stages with what happend on ...

"Prescription For Death" Episode One Sep, 13, 1990

EPISODE ONE: PRESCRIPTION FOR DEATH Episode starts up with an ER(Emergency Room) setting. It looks like chaos everywhere and doctors and nurses kinda look like they are upset or embarrassed about something. Guest Actor John Spencer(later on to be on The West Wing) is looking for his daughter who only came in to get antibiotics. According to him and his vet army experience, Someone in that emergency room did something to the poor girl. So here comes the investigation because of the covinced Vet Army Doc.  Seargent Max and Detective Mike find out the CHEIF OF MEDICINE was indeed drunk.  That was the result of the poor girls death. So an arrest was made on the Doctor. DA Ben Stone sure made him to be the drunk doctor that he was when he failed something very important. In my opinion, one of the best pilot episodes ever from a tv series(although this was the first aired, not the first made, check in future episode in this season), and I give this episod...
